In my life, I've always believed in the power of faith and transformation, and I'd like to share a deeply personal story that emphasizes these themes. It's a narrative about finding unexpected beauty in the most ordinary of circumstances and learning to let go. This new body of work, 'Prayer Bowls,' is a manifestation of these beliefs and the journey that inspired them. Throughout my journey, I've often encountered situations that some might consider daunting or insurmountable. Yet, I've come to see in them the potential for renewal through faith. The process of surrendering to God's plan and allowing Him to turn the ordinary into something extraordinary has been a recurring theme in my life. One day, I stumbled upon an old sewer pipe, a relic of years of service in a challenging and unglamorous role. Over time, it had deteriorated and been deemed worthless by society. However, hidden within its unremarkable exterior, I sensed a glimmer of possibility, a sign of God's grace. I imagined the history of this pipe, I could relate to some of it. With that in mind, I welcomed this seemingly insignificant pipe into my life. As I held it up to the light, a tiny sparkle caught my eye, a glint of hope concealed within the layers of dirt and grime. It was a moment of revelation, a gentle reminder from God, urging me to breathe new life into this forgotten piece as part of His plan. With great care, I began the process of cleaning and uncovering the stiff, ridged shell hidden beneath the layers of filth. It was a humbling experience, an acknowledgment of the imperfections of the past. I understood that within this unassuming exterior lay a treasure waiting to be reborn through perseverance. The transformation began, not without its share of challenges. It was a symphony of metamorphosis, with the sounds of tools screeching, water sizzling from the hot metal being quenched, and the rhythmic clanging of the hammer. I felt guided by God, directing the transformation of what was lifeless into something beautiful. I struggled at first to allow God to guide me, I thought I knew what to do, but soon I got into the rhythm of letting go. Then with each precise stroke, we began to mold and shape the pipe into a new creation. It was no longer just an old sewer pipe; it had become a symbol of God's renewal and transformation. To the untrained eye, it might resemble a bowl or perhaps a leaf, but to me, it was a vessel of discovery, a testament to the power of surrendering to God. In the ashes and remnants, I found evidence of what once was, now ascending to the heavens as smoke. It was a profound symbol of the transformative power of faith, surrendering will, and letting go of the what troubled me to create something new and beautiful through God's grace. This story serves as a reminder that beauty can be found where others may see only imperfections. It is a testament to the power of faith, renewal, and transformation that exists within every person willing to embrace God's plan and embark on a journey of self-discovery. Materials
